Welcome to Midnight Musing
A quiet space for fleeting reflections—tender, playful, sharp, or poetic—where small moments perhaps reveal more profound truths.
Some thoughts and reflections don’t belong in long essays. But, they are worth holding on to anyway.
They arrive at odd hours—after the day has quieted, when a memory, a puppy’s look, or a shift in the light sparks a thought worth noticing.
Midnight Musing is where I’ll share those fleeting reflections. Short, simple, and closer to a diary than an essay.
Why Midnight Musing? Because not everything that matters or is worth remembering comes packaged as a “how-to” or recommendation. Some thoughts are meant just for reflection.
Sometimes meaning is found in small details: a conversation overheard, a lucid dream, a glimpse of Sleeping Bear Bay at dusk, or the way a puppy, full of joy, fetches its toy back for praise and a treat.
My hope is that Midnight Musing provides a space for wonder, connection, and the quieter truths we discover when we pause to reflect.
Expect brief pieces and longer musings, sometimes tender, sometimes playful, sometimes sharp, occasionally poetic, even scary. Always real.
I’d love for you to join me in this pause, in these after-hours reflections.
And possibly, positively share your own.
What do you find yourself musing on when your day is done, when the midnight hour is upon you, and you sleep under the vast open sky of possibilities?
When the still night gathers around you, the angels come to guide you through the night, and the world forms a protective cocoon, what dreams are worth remembering and, perhaps, sharing?
I’ll be here, gathering and sharing these midnight thoughts. I hope you’ll return when the quiet hours call you back.
